I will try to make more entries to this page now that Fall is here.  We are homeschoolers, so it’s a good time to start new schedules with personal stuff as I figure out exactly how we will schedule our school days this year!  This year we have a HS Senior, a HS Freshman/Sophomore, an 8th grader, and a 5th grader!  So we are going to be having tons of fun this year — I’m really looking forward to it, but as a mom it’s hard getting my daughter’s SENIOR year material together — she will turn 18 in December, so I suppose my motherly instinct is coming out — I wish none of my children had to leave our home eventually, (but, I would never stop them, just help make sure they get off on the “right foot” so to speak! LOL 

Here I am blabbering on my blog — sometimes it’s an unfortunate side effect from my medications right now.  The good news is that I’m feeling good physically and mentally, and God-willing I will be able to periodically add important stuff here on my blog.
Thanks for reading this long, perhaps incoherent (but I hope not) post! LOL  Friends like all of you make life worth living!

There are some who do not believe that God speaks directly to His children any longer.  That it was only in the time of the Prophets that this kind of direct communication was possible.  I disagree…

Anyone with a conscience knows that when one considers doing something that is against their own morals (or society’s general rules of conduct) there is a small voice inside them that most times intervenes and sets them back on the right path.  In modern times we have come to know this as our conscience.  Even small children have been told of and understand this concept (take Pinnochio for example, who not being human is granted by the good fairy a conscience in the form of a little cricket named Jiminy).

However, it is my understanding and through my faith that I have come to realize that this small, still voice, which is inside everyone, is not merely a figment of our imagination – not merely a development of our brain.  Rather, it is the Holy Spirit, the Lord our God, still communicating with us on a very personal level.  Whether by a feeling in the pit of our stomachs, or through a “voice” in our heads that reminds us “This isn’t a very good idea”, the Holy Spirit is still teaching us, and guiding us.

So, the next time you hear your conscience speaking to you – praise God!  For HE is the one who is really speaking.  He loves all of us so much that not a day,  nor even a moment goes by that He is not by our sides, helping us to stay on the path of righteousness.
